Description
On the 29th of April 2024, Glasgow South Health Improvement Team delivered a Promoting Inclusive, Anti Racist Practice event in partnership with YCSA, Urban Community Project, Active Life Club, Kooth and Govan Community Project. Partners from across the South locality came together to build cultural awareness and discuss anti-racist practice within services for young people and their families. The event was planned and delivered in partnership, and we were delighted to have young people sharing their views and experiences on the day. In addition to this a number of young people and staff provided video blogs about their experiences of racism. The event was designed to create opportunities for partners to share learning and good practice through discussion and networking. This report describes an event that was part of a series of three local events. Links to the other two reports can be found here: Bridging the gap: is your youthwork culturally informed?
