enDescription
In recent years Breakfast Clubs have become quite widespread in schools and other community settings, throughout the country and in Glasgow in particular. They have developed under a variety of different auspices and have adopted different methods of operation and organisation. Greater Glasgow Health Board, in conjunction with the Health Education Board for Scotland, wish to undertake more rigorous evaluation of these initiatives than has yet been possible. In the second (and main) stage, to start in early 1999, a small number of initiatives will be established to serve a primary school age population, with evaluation fully built in from the start. The main aim of the first stage was to identify good practice in existing breakfast initiatives, so as to inform the creation of the new initiatives for the second stage.Collections
