enDescription
This report is the result of a qualitative health promotion needs assessment in Argyl l and Bute. The concept of community participation in needs assessment has a firm grounding in Health Promotion practice, It has long been recognised that Health Promotion programmes are most effective when they are designed to reflect the needs of the target community. Following the restructuring of the Health Service, Health Boards are developing the process in a more structured fashion, with health care needs assessments and community health promotion needs assessments being carried out. A health promotion needs assessment aims to discover the community perspective on any changes which could be made to improve people's health.Collections
