The research project yielded information about the health and lifestyles of this client group and their health promotion needs, as well as assessing the benefits of providing a tailored programme of health promotion. The lessons learned from the delivery of this programme formed the basis of a rigorously evaluated programme of training in health promotion for professional staff in the MHRCs.en
