Description
The Starting Well Project is the national Health Demonstration Project in child/family health. Launched in November 2000, it covers two areas of socio-economic deprivation in Glasgow (Gorbals, Govanhill and North Toryglen in South East Glasgow, and the Eastern and Western suburbs of Greater Easterhouse in the East of the City). Starting Well aims to demonstrate that child health can be improved by offering a programme of intensive home-based activities designed to support families , and by ensuring parents and children have access to enhanced community-based resources
