Description
The primary reason for undertaking this research was a recognition that patterns of drug and alcohol use, awareness of issues and attitudes to service provision in Black and Minority Ethnic communities have not been examined in detail and there was little information specifically about Greater Glasgow. The research was targeted primarily at young people (aged 16-25) in the Chinese, Indian and Pakistani communities in Greater Glasgow and was conducted from December 2001 to June 2002. Parents and Key Infonnants in the focus groups and interviews gave information about young people and also about the experiences of people outwith this age range.
